ในงาน Full Metal Panic! 15th Anniversary Panel ที่จัดขึ้นกันภายในงาน Anime Expo 2017 เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ผ่านมาทาง อ.Shoji Gatoh คนเขียนและ อ.Shikidouji ผู้วาดภาพประกอบของเรื่องนี้ก็ได้เดินทางไปร่วมในงานนี้ด้วย ซึ่งก็ได้ประกาศความคืบหน้าของ Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory (เดิมชื่อ Full Metal Panic! IV ) ว่าภาคใหม่นี้มีกำหนดฉายในช่วงฤดูหนาวปี 2018 หรือม.ค.ปีหน้า ซึ่งเดิมนั้นเคยกำหนดฉายในช่วงฤดูใบไม้ร่วงปี 2017 หรือ ต.ค.ปีนี้

ภาคใหม่ซึ่งเป็นภาคที่ 4 ของ Series สตูดิโอที่ผลิตอนิเมะเปลี่ยนจาก kyoto animation มาเป็น XEBEC (Fafner in the Azure) ส่วนคุณ Shoji Gatoh ผู้เขียน Full Metal Panic! ก็จะมาคุมและดูแลบทฉบับอนิเมะด้วยตัวเอง
